This weekend I went to a tennis tournament in Jackson, Mississippi. The tournament was called River Hills Tennis Tournament and it was a level 3, which is a pretty high level tournament. All week I couldn't wait to go to Jackson, and I was hoping that I would play well. I also ordered a new pair of shoes, because my old shoes had a bunch of holes in them.
When it got to Friday, everything just went downhill. The first thing that happened was that my new shoes didn't come in, so I couldn't play in them. The next thing that happened was on Saturday, when I lost my first match at 9:30. I played terribly in that match, so all of my hoping of playing well that week didn't pay off. When my next match came along, I realized I had to play one of my friends that I practice with, so I came all the way to Jackson to play against someone I play with every week. I also played terribly in that match and I lost. My brother also lost both of his matches.
That sounds like a terrible weekend. On the bright side, you gained some experience from a high level tournament, so you can come back stronger next time. I can't wait to hear some more tennis stories.
